Our Programs

Cultivate the Creative is pleased to announce new programs in 2024, thanks to funding awarded through the Foundation for Healthy St. Pete. These programs will be support and expand on the work we currently do. Our programs aim to support the emotional, physical, mental, interpersonal, financial, and artistic growth of those in our community.

Encounter Creativity

Encounter Creativity events are open to all ages! The program offers a series of community building events both online and locally in South St. Pete, FL. Each event is facilitated by creatives in our community, involves movement, nature, and art, and offers tools and resources to incorporate creativity as a mindfulness practice in your daily life.

Engage Creativity

Partnering with Salvation Army, Cultivate the Creative offers art and movement programs within a local St. Pete foster home. Our program aims to provide youth with emotional identification and regulation tools to overcome anxiety and stress and explore their inner creative.

Elevate Creativity

Coming soon in Fall 2024, Elevate Creativity is a mental health and wellness program offered to high school youth to explore their creative process as a way to understand their internal navigation system. The program will be hosted over several weeks and explores topics such as emotional identification and regulation, interpersonal relationships, physical wellness, financial autonomy, communication, and collaboration.

CTC is currently hiring community experts within the Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) community to draft curriculum and content for the program. For more information, please check out our Request for Quotes.

Empower Creativity

Cultivate the Creative offers scholarships to high school youth to pursue the fullest extent of their creative dreams. This program was recently awarded funding to include a mentorship component. Youth will receive funding to start their very own small creative business.

Youth will be learn how to set up a bank account and small business in the State of Florida, financial and time management, and marketing skills that will support their own small business. Mentors will receive training that supports the full wellbeing of youth participants, including suicide prevention, culturally informed training, and trauma informed care training. Mentors will be able to apply and start training in the Summer of 2024.
