Elevate Creativity Program Facilitator
Position Type: Part‑Time, Hybrid Role
Location: St. Petersburg, Florida
Program Duration: October 11th - December 13th, 2025

About the Program
Cultivate the Creative (CTC) is a nonprofit organization created to remove socioeconomic barriers to art programs and art supplies for youth in underserved communities. CTC utilizes creativity to empower and unlock the potential of all youth. We are committed to offering approachable, accessible, and equitable programs that foster community and support emotional, financial, physical, and artistic development and growth. We believe that creativity isn’t just a way for people to express themselves through art but rather it is an approach that can drive new ways of thinking.
Our Elevate Creativity Program is a 10‑session, dynamic extra-curricular experience built to inspire empowerment, creativity, resiliency, and authentic self‑expression in young people. We use a thoughtfully designed curriculum to guide youth through engaging activities, discussions, and projects that build confidence and community. By the end of the program, each youth will have created a portfolio of their creative work.

Position Summary
We’re seeking an energetic and inspiring Program Facilitator to bring our curriculum to life. You’ll lead a group of high school youth through interactive sessions, create a safe and inclusive environment, and encourage youth to discover their voices and talents.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Program Sessions: Facilitate all 10 sessions over a 10-week period (Thursday evenings and one Tuesday evening 11/25) using the provided curriculum, ensuring activities are engaging and accessible for diverse learning styles.

Foster Positive Group Dynamics: Build trust, encourage collaboration, and model respectful communication.

Encourage Self‑Expression: Create space for youth to explore creativity through art, writing, performance, or discussion.

Adapt & Support: Adjust delivery as needed to meet the needs of participants while staying true to program goals.

Maintain Records: Track attendance, participation, and collect feedback to help evaluate program success.

Collaborate with Staff: Work closely with the Executive Director and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications

Experience working with youth in mental health, educational, recreational, or mentorship settings.

Strong facilitation and communication skills.

Ability to lead group activities and manage a positive learning environment.

Passion for youth development, creativity, and empowerment.

Flexibility, patience, and a sense of humor.

Training in trauma‑informed or culturally responsive practices.
Preferred
-
Strong connection with the St Petersburg community.
-
Degree or certification in mental health, arts, and/or education, or related field.
Schedule & Compensation
-
Commitment to all 10 program sessions plus prep and wrap‑up meetings.

$35-55 an hour, based on experience.

~10 hours per week for 12 weeks, Thursday nights in-person required.
